+50 GP can be used to increase gathring chance at unspoiled nodes to 100%, as it is capped at 95%. If you only fish just focus on melding as much gathering/perception as you can. Fishers are generally fine with unmelded gear but higher stats help to reduce RNG which is never a bad thing and some fish can be rather hard to catch with lower stats. Melding is not necessary, apart from reaching 600GP, as long as you haven't unlocked legendary nodes. If you have the funds I'd recommend this option as Ironworks gear isn't all too expensive anymore and it saves a lot of time. Again, you can probably get it cheaper from a crafter-for-hire than from marketboard but the materials required for this cannot be obtained easily so you will have to buy from marketboard. This option is good if you want to skip all the gearing up process but it does require some funds. It is the best available gear until Stormblood. Option 3: Take the high road and get Ironworks gear. If you don't know what scrips or counterfoils are or didn't understand any of these acronyms try reading step 4 and 4.1. Once you get to 585 perception you can use this rotation for more foils per node. To get there use ~lv55 gear and just throw a few cheap GP and Perception melds on your gear. You will need 550 perception and 600GP to get counterfoils using this rotation. To be able to buy blue scrip gear you need counterfoils. There is the disadvantage of blue scrip gear being class-locked meaning you will have to get the set 2 times (or 3 if you like fishing). 
It can also be used for legendary nodes up to 3★. Ths option is cheaper but requires more time. (You can obviously use dragonskin accessories too). By doing that you can afford the gear, even with a small wallet. Once you gathered the materials, ask a crafter to make those items for you. To get a list of all needed materials use this Website (but do check if the material is cheap on the MB). If you want to save money you can gather most of the materials yourself, even with normal vendor equipemt, and the ones you can't gather, a lv60 DoW/M retainer can bring you or you can farm them yourself by killing mobs. If you want to save time you can just directly buy them or the mats. The price of those items on market board are (on my server) 2-5x the price of the mats. As long as you haven't unlocked legendary nodes this set will fullfill all your needs. You will need to meld a single GP+3 into any slot to reach 600GP. You can use this gear for all 3 gatherers which is an advantage over option 2. Option 1: Get a set of crafted HQ level 60 gear.
